Here it is: the season finale of Game of Thrones. Here’s where and when and how to watch it.

  • Episode: Season 6, Episode 10, “The Winds of Winter”
  • Writers: David Benioff & D. B. Weiss
  • Director: Miguel Sapochnik
  • Run time: 68 minutes

At 68 minutes, “The Winds of Winter” is the longest episode in the history of the show. Will the official description follow suit?

"Season Finale. Cersei faces her trial."

No it will not. We’ll have to look at the official images to get an idea of what we’re in for.

Many of the images are from King’s Landing, where Cersei and Loras will be tried by the Faith for their crimes. Well, Cersei will be charged for her crimes. Loras will be charged because the Sparrows are homophobic.

Jaime and Bronn will stop by the Twins and dine with Walder Frey. Let’s hope it goes better than the last time we saw people eat a meal there.

We’ll stop by Meereen, but we don’t have many clues about what will go on there. Daenerys and Tyrion will talk. I wish I could give you more. Hopefully he’s coaxing her to return to Westeros. After all, there’s not much show left.

Although they don’t show up in the official images, Jon, Sansa, and Littlefinger will appear in the episode, too.

The trailer indicates that Davos will act on what he learned about Shireen’s burning last week, so we may be spending quite a lot of time in Winterfell. Also, the white raven is on its way…

And of course, we can’t forget Bran, seen here posing for a saucy portrait or something.

Hopefully, we’ll get one more trip into the past before Game of Thrones signs off for the year.

What do you hope will happen in “The Winds of Winter?” What do you dread? Anything can happen in the finale.
