Game of Thrones cast members gather in Seville, plus a SPOILER about a returning character

The Game of Thrones production is finished filming on the beaches of Spain’s Basque Country. Cast and crew members are now heading to Seville for the next leg of Season 7 shoots. According to Los Siete Reinos, shooting will happen this week in the ruins of Italica, before picking up in the city’s Royal Shipyards on November 8. Let’s take a look at who’s in the city. Then there’s an interesting SPOILER we’ll share with you at the bottom on the post.

Find out more below the video of the workers readying the set at Italica.

Nicolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), who we haven’t seen much of yet during this filming season, has been in Seville for a few days, and has seemed happy to take pictures with fans.

Seville will very likely be standing in for King’s Landing. Specifically, it looks like both Italica and the Royal Shipyards will stand in for the city’s Dragonpit, although the crew will likely make use of other parts of the city, as well. In any case, it makes sense that Jaime will be involved.

But Coster-Waldau has brought along some friends, including Gwendoline Christie (Brienne)…

…and Pilou Asbaek (Euron Greyjoy).

And many other cast members have been seen en route to Seville, including Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei), Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), Conleth Hill (Varys), and Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister). Iain Glen (Jorah) has been seen in Seville as well.

Further, Watchers on the Wall reports that both Anton Lesser (Qyburn) and Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane) will film at the ruins of Italica and at the Royal Shipyards.

That’s a whole lot of freaking cast members in one place. It would seem the world of Game of Thrones really is getting smaller. The only person missing from this list seems to be Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), but if all these people are gathering, she can’t be far behind.

Okay, now for the SPOILER.

Watchers also reports that a character not seen since Season 5 will show up in Season 7: Tycho Nestoris (Mark Gatiss), a representative of the Iron Bank. He’s the guy Stannis asked for money when he was trying to hire sellswords back in Season 4, and who Mace Tyrell dealt with when he traveled to Braavos in an attempt to renegotiate the crown’s outstanding debts.

According to Watchers, Nestoris will travel to King’s Landing and tell Cersei that the crown’s debt to the Iron Bank is due. The show has been setting up a plotline like this for a while, since Tywin revealed to Cersei that the goldmines of the Westerlands had run dry. Apparently, Cersei delinquency will have important consequences, so get ready for a banking subplot for the ages.
