Caution: This post contains SPOILERS for Game of Thrones Season 7

After an eventful round of filming at the ruins of Italica, the Game of Thrones production is getting ready to move on. Below, the likes of Alfie Allen (Theon) and Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) big goodbye to Italica, which has stood in for the Dragonpit of King’s Landing.

Kit Harington waved goodbye to fans on his way out, eliciting no small amount of delight.

Apparently, the final day of shooting was a long one, at least according to Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (Gregor “The Mounain” Clegane):

Next on the schedule: the Royal Shipyards of Seville, which will also stand in for the Dragonpit. Filming there will happen tomorrow. The next day, the production starts in at the Castillo de Almodóvar del Río. It’s a busy time.

From there, the production moves to the Cáceres, where it’ll hit a number of locations, including the gorgeous Trujillo Castle. Hoy is reporting that the production is already filming there, although this clashes with earlier reports that filming will happen for three days ending November 18. More likely, the castle has just been closed for prep work.

Nearby, the production will film at two outdoor locations near the town of Malpartida de Cáceres: on a private estate called Las Breñas and at a waterlogged area called the Barreuco de Arriba. (HBO will spend most of its time in Las Breñas.) Per Hoy, access to the Barreuco de Arriba has already been cut off so the production can rehearse.

The production will reportedly use both of these locations from between November 19 until December 12. Ships, a hundred horses, and hundreds of extras will be involved, so it looks like we have a battle on our hands. (Although if the SPOILERS out there can be believed, it won’t so much be a battle as an ambush. Also be on the lookout for at least one dragon.)

Whatever the nature of the scene, HBO is spending a lot of time in this area. Expect whatever gets filmed here to be a major set piece.

While we wait for filming to get started, one cast member has already shown up. Hoy has a photo of Jerome Flynn (Bronn) hanging out in the city of Cáceres.

Now we just wait for the rest of the cast to catch up with him.
