You may have noticed there were no filming leaks yesterday. That’s not because security finally tightened up, nor is it due to the American Thanksgiving holiday. (After all, most of the cast and crew are from the UK, or otherwise European.) Heavy downpours in the area made filming in the outdoor areas at Los Barruecos, where the production will be for the next several weeks, impossible to navigate on Sunday. But on this day, the heavens smiled down as filming for an enormous battle continued.
And after the day off, the sun wasn’t the only one who poked his head out to say hello.
Could this be the blessing to continue that the show needs? It seems safe to assume so, as we have a new rash of pictures from yesterday to pour over. SPOILERS AHOY!
Why are there so many songs about spoilers and what’s on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions, but spoilers have nothing to hide.
So we’ve been told and some choose to believe it.
I know they’re wrong wait and see.
Someday we’ll find it, the rainbow connection.
The lovers, the spoilers and me.
Let’s check out this plethora of pictures.
The Lannisters roll back in as the ground dries. This battle, as a refresher, will involve the Lannisters marching back to King’s Landing after sacking Highgarden, when they are set upon by Daenerys and her Dothraki horde. It looks like this material is from before the actual battle begins.
Here’s a close up of that figure on the horse.
Not sure who that is, or why he would lay in front of his horse. Anyone?
A close up reveals it is definitely Jaime and Bronn.
At some point, Randyll Tarly (James Faulkner) and Dickon Tarly (Tom Hopper) will also show up.
Here’re some close-ups of the extras on the march, looking restless.
Where there’s smoke, there’s fire, and where there’s fire, there may well be dragons.
Note the green screen, no doubt used for inserting lots more soldiers.
The Daily Mail also released a few new shots of pics from filming at Trujillo Castle a week back. Trujillo Castle, as we reported before, will stand in for Highgarden during the Lannister sack of the place. Eagle-eyed fan Adrián Alonso noticed something interesting about the sword Jaime is holding.
So Jaime now has his son/nephew’s Valyrian steel sword, made from the melted-down remains of Ice, House Stark’s Valyrian steel sword. As you may recall, Brienne has Oathkeeper, the other sword made from Ice. Will the two clash in the future?
Other pics from the Trujillo shoot:
So Coster-Waldau wore two outfits during his time at Trujillo, meaning that Jaime probably shot at least two scenes there.
