ThreeZero teases ultra-realistic Daenerys Targaryen figurine
By Corey Smith
Luxury toymaker ThreeZero is finally releasing a figure based on Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons, Breaker of Chains, and so on and so forth. The company, known for its ultra-realistic figures, recently put up a teaser image on its Facebook page.
This is the first female Game of Thrones character in Threezero’s lineup, so kudos to Daenerys on breaking the action figure glass ceiling.
Although it took ThreeZero longer to release a Daenerys figure than it did for the character to finally head for Westeros on Game of Thrones, it should be worth the wait. As you can see, this figure is modeled after Daenerys circa Season 3, when she freed the Unsullied from their shackles in Astapor. This figure is so life-like, Mhysa looks as if she just sprung down from Drogon’s back and has yet to fix her wind-swept hair.
Accessories for the figure have not been detailed, but the whip given to Daenerys by the masters of Astapor would be a natural choice, as would a trio of dragon eggs. ThreeZero has previously released figures for the Hound, Jaime Lannister, Ned Stark and others, all of which came with a bevy of accessories and all of which quickly sold out.
Although no price point has been released, the Hound and Jaime Lannister figures each cost around $200, so expect something in that range. There’s no word on a release date, either, but we’d bet on 2017.
