Jaqen H’ghar discusses Game of Thrones…while taking a bath, and other funnies

Have you ever felt that Game of Thrones was missing a certain something? Something that could reveal hidden depths to the narrative and blow the minds of fans and doubters alike? Was that certain something Jaqen H’ghar taking a bath?

If it was, look no further. German photographer Simon Lohmeyer recently took a luxurious bath with actor Tom Wlaschiha, watched over by a very attentive waiter, for GQ. Topics for discussion included Wlaschiha’s love of Berlin, his new role in Crossing Lines, and his thoughts on who will take the Iron Throne. If you’re fluent in German, this should be an enjoyable watch. If not, it’s still pretty hilarious. (We have a translation below.)

When asked his opinion about who will sit the Iron Throne, Wlaschiha points out that the show’s producers—and author George R R Martin—dislike adhering to fan theories, and that he wouldn’t be surprised if nobody took the throne in the end. The throne is a bad omen, says Wlaschiha, and the people who seek to occupy it aren’t likely to last long.

But if pressed, who would Wlaschiha like to see on the throne? Arya Stark, of course. A man is loyal indeed.
