Today in celebrity-related ephemera, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had a good time posting Game of Thrones memes on his Facebook page, both before and after the Patriots faced off against the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami yesterday. Here he is taunting the Dolphins before the game started…
…and the game, which the Patriots won.
As you can see, Brady is the Night King and has frozen two dolphins. As NBC Boston points out, “there are actually quite a few similarities between Brady and the Night’s King. They both love playing in the snow. Everyone hates them. And they always win.”
Moving on, Iain Glen has been playing the lovesick Jorah Mormont for six years on Game of Thrones. He’ll get to be a little closer to the spotlight in Sky 1’s Delicious. According to Daily Record, Glenn plays a chef/foodie named Leo, who is torn between his wife and his ex. According to him, the job practically pays for itself:
"I did one scene where I was making love surrounded by the most wonderful [tidbits] and morsels and dips. And I really did think, ‘Am I actually being paid to do this?’"
I’m not so sure I’m ready to watch Ser Jorah get it on surrounded by a bunch of food, and this looks like a really bad telenovela, but if it’s something the people want to see, who am I to get in the way of that?
Also, a bunch of Game of Thrones cast members made TC Candler’s (surprisingly popular) list of “The 100 Most Beautiful Faces of 2016,” with Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) at #100, Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) at #42 and Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) at #18.
Good for them.
And in the less popular “100 Most Handsome Faces of 2016” list, Kit Harington (Jon Snow) came in at #8 while Michiel Huisman (Daario Naharis) lands at #1. Hm.
Oh look, there’s Tom Brady again. What a coincidence!
