Finn Jones in new Iron Fist trailer, Nicolaj Coster-Waldau raises environmental awareness
Netflix and Marvel are teaming up once again, bringing you an original series sure to pack a punch. And one of our fallen Game of Thrones actors is headlining it.
English actor Finn Jones, better known as Loras Tyrell, is nixing his British accent to become New York billionaire Danny Rand, and later martial arts master Iron Fist. Have a look at the new trailer below.
Jones is dropping the “Knight of Flowers” moniker for a more ass-kicking name. Danny Rand is back in New York City after going missing for several years. He sharpens his powers and kung-fu mastery against an evil crime syndicate that’s corrupting the Big Apple. All the while, the power of his fiery Iron Fist can be unleashed at any moment.
The show premiers on March 17th, or St. Patrick’s Day. All 13 episodes of season 1 will be released at 3:00 a.m. EST. Iron Fist comes on the heels of three other Marvel original series on Netflix: Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. A fifth series, Marvel’s The Punisher, has already started filming.
Saving Greenland
Meanwhile, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, otherwise known as Jaime Lannister, has teamed up with Google Maps to get ridiculously beautiful 360-degree shots of scenic Greenland.
Coster-Waldau, who is a UN Goodwill Ambassador, describes the country as his “second home.” He hopes to bring attention to the effects of climate change on the region, documenting the rapidly melting icecaps with a Trekker camera. Google Maps put together a short video documenting some of his adventures.
“Images are very powerful, much more than graphs or statistics,” Coster-Waldau says, “The climate is changing but we can do something about it.”

The sterling silver ring, hand-crafted by the folks at DiamondGeezer.com, was worn only once by Williams and is in stunning condition. It even comes with an autograph inside the ring box.
All proceeds will go to the NSPCC.
