Hot on the heels of the confirmation yesterday that Almería will be the fourth filming location in Spain for Game of Thrones Season 6, Modexpor International has put out the announcement that extra casting will be taking place in the city tomorrow, July 8th, and Thursday, July 9th. As rumored, the casting will be happening at Pabellón Moisés Ruiz.

A few interesting details from the casting call sheet: the call is asking for some very specific looks for these extras. Note the heights required for men and women: at minimum + 175cm (5’7″) for men and + 170cm (5’6″) for women. Also there’s a specified chest measurement, 112cm (44″) for men, 95 cm (37″) for women, so not just tall but broad. Skin tones need to be “very brown to black,” and “good physical condition.” This suggests that we’re going to be casting a warrior class of peoples. It also almost certainly confirms that Almería will be standing in for Essos, since Westerosi people—even the Dornish—are a fair-to-medium skinned folk.

The filming dates are also confirmed in the announcement, a thirteen day shoot from October 10-23, 2015. So Game of Thrones tourists, mark your calendars accordingly if you plan to be visiting Essos by way of  Almería.
