"“The difference in how you write the Doctor isn’t that great. It’s what the actor’s bring to it and you start writing toward it. On paper, each of the Doctors are surprisingly similar.”"
Series 9 begins on September 19 with the two-part premiere, ‘The Magician’s Apprentice’/’The Witch’s Familiar,’ both written by showrunner Steven Moffat. The new season will see the returns of several familiar faces, including Michelle Gomez as Missy, Jemma Redgrave as Kate Stewart, Ingrid Oliver as Osgood, and Joivan Wade as Rigsy. In addition, episodes 5 & 6 (‘The Girl Who Died’/’The Woman Who Lived’) will feature Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams.
