Promotional images for Telltale’s Game of Thrones episode 5

Game of Thrones may be off the air, but Telltale’s Game of Thrones adventure game marches on. The fifth episode is inbound, and today, Telltale Games released a set of images promoting the new episode, titled “A Nest of Vipers,” on Twitter. Check them out!

Here’s Asher, once again engaged in combat (and mysteriously surrounded by half-naked men). Is he still in Meereen? Will he perhaps be forced to do battle in the fighting pits as a consequence of his actions in episode four?

Here’s Mira visiting Tyrion in his prison cell. Perhaps the half-man has some words of wisdom to share with Margaery’s former favorite handmaiden before his fateful trial. Also, they’re sharing a drink, because of course they are.

I’ve been trying to place this location, but I can’t quite figure it out. It’s obviously a port city, but where, and for what reason we’ll be visiting it this episode, I couldn’t tell you. Is this Asher returning from Essos? Is it Rodrik, forced to do something by the villainous Ramsay Bolton? Whatever the case, the image is quite beautiful, as have been all the location images in prior promotional artwork.

Here’s Asher, once again at odds with someone. Is there anyone in Essos that doesn’t want him dead these days?

Last but not least, Mira meeting with the other scheming Lannister sibling, Cersei. Another daring political move to save her family, perhaps? Or does she have a message to relay on behalf of Tyrion?

Based on these images, we appear to be in for a heavy Asher/Mira episode, which is surprising given the cliffhanger ending of last episode. Or not: perhaps, as a means of concealing the fallout of Ramsay’s return to House Forrester’s humble abode, Telltale has chosen instead to show us the more obvious plotlines playing out this time around. (Also notably absent: Gared Tuttle, stranded north of the Wall with his fellow deserters and a new friend.)

Telltale’s tweets tell us that “A Nest of Vipers” will be ready to download later this month, so watch for an official release date in the coming days.

Next: The Tower of Joy next season? Maybe!
