Game of Thrones Season 5 Soundtrack on Vinyl

Do you have a special someone in your life, that no matter how hard you try, you just cannot seem to find the perfect gift? Does this person have an affinity for wearing over-sized glasses even though they have perfect vision? Do they have facial hair that they claim is “ironic” even though, inexplicably, it comes across as non-ironic? How often does this person refer to digitally downloaded music as “too mainstream?”

Depending on how you answered the above questions, then we may have stumbled upon the perfect gift for that hard-to-buy-for, skinny jean wearing, significant other in your life (Or you, if you consider craft beer to be the new wine). Website New On Vinyl has recently posted the Game of Thrones Season 5 soundtrack, composed by Ramin Djawadi, on vinyl, which is now currently available for pre-ordering. Specs for the album, from NoV, are as follows:

  • The vinyl debut of the soundtrack from the Tv series “Game Of Thrones” Season 5 by Ramin Djawadi
  • Double Lp
  • 180 Gram SILVER COLORED Vinyl
  • Limited Edition of only 2500 copies
  • 2015 First Time on vinyl
  • Gatefold Sleeve
  • Including Insert

Actually, all hipster jokes aside, the fact that this product is a limited edition of 2,500 copies, kind of makes it an interesting piece for any Game of Thrones memorabilia collector.  There’s also the ironically inaccurate description of Season 5:

Perhaps the best explanation of the inaccuracies of describing Season 5, is that watching Game of Thrones, in itself, is too mainstream, and therefore counts as ironic if a hipster watches the show. Wait, If a hipster falls off their bike in the biking lane, and no one is around to see or hear it, do they make a sound? Oh well, I guess I’ll just sit back and enjoy my “flat white” and ponder the mysteries of the universe while waiting for my new Game of Thrones Season 5 album on vinyl to get shipped.
