Pic of Sophie Turner in X-Men, Peter Dinklage hints at Thrones/Frozen crossover

Today in unlikely pairings: MTV News gave a joint interview with Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage, whose rocking quite the beard at the moment, and Josh Gad, who played Olaf the snowman in Frozen. Other than the fact that these two play fan favorites on their respective series (mark my words: Frozen will be a series of movies before long—the first one made way too much money), these two guys don’t seem to have much in common.

Despite this, they have a lot of fun in the interview, as Dinklage dances around the inevitable question about Jon Snow’s survival and Gad reveals himself to be a major Thrones geek. (“Can I join Jonathan Pryce’s gang?” he asks.)

The most intriguing part comes when Gad reveals that Frozen 2, which of course will be coming along at some point, will incorporate Game of Thrones mythology. “Jon Snow is dead in Frozen 2,” he says. “The White Walkers have taken over Arendelle.” Well, the movie is very ice-themed. The White Walkers would probably worship an ice sorceress like Elsa as their queen.

Also of interest: Peter Dinklage has apparently read the scripts for Season 6. We’re officially underway.

Elsewhere on the internet, 20th Century Fox has released high-res versions of some X-Men: Apocalypse images that first appeared in the pages of Entertainment Weekly a week ago. Click the link above for the full gallery. Around here, we’re most interested in the pic of Sophie Turner as Jean Grey.

For any of you who may have forgotten, the newest X-Men film will take place in the early 1980s, which explains Turner’s hairstyle. Presumably, it’ll tell the story of how Professor Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) recruited young mutants like Cyclops, Storm, of Jean Grey into the ranks of the X-Men. Congratulations to Sophie Turner for landing this role. With any luck, it’ll make a proper movie star out of her.
