The Hunger Game of Thrones: Jon Snow Must Die

Last week, fellow fantasy adaptation The Hunger Games released the second trailer in the run-up to the final movie installment coming out in the fall. As most of you probably are aware, the antagonist in the movie is President Snow, played by the esteemed Donald Sutherland. In the trailer, heroine Katniss Everdeen makes several speeches in which she reminds everyone that “Snow has to pay for what he’s done” and that the rebels should “Turn your weapons to Snow.”
Now, considering our obsession with a certain character on Game of Thrones, a character with an ambiguous fate and the surname of Snow, I couldn’t help but think that Katniss was giving a pep talk to the Night’s Watch every time she talked about turning our weapons to Snow. She and Alliser Thorne would probably had a lot to talk about.
Apparently I wasn’t the only one thinking this. Behold the inevitable mash up that ensued, “The Hunger Game of Thrones: Jon Snow Must Die.”
The Gwen Christie tie-in killed me, it was so perfect. See what starring in multiple franchises can do for you? I’m only sorry they didn’t find a way to tie in Natalie Dormer as well.
