Every death in Game of Thrones, updated for Season 5
By Dan Selcke
Season 5 of Game of Thrones is well and truly in the can, so it’s past time for an updated video cataloging every terrible, horrible, no good, very bad death on the show.
It’s inevitable that someone make one of these after every new season, and even though this video doesn’t have the charmingly light-hearted backing track of the Seasons 1-4 video, it’s important to pause and take stock of all the people we lost in 2015. Also, this one comes with labels.

You know, it felt like Season 5 was a little more bloodthirsty than normal, but it doesn’t seem to have had that many more deaths than any other season, at least according to this video. Maybe it only felt that way because there were so many deaths packed into the backend: Jon Snow, Meryn Trant, every remaining member of the Baratheon family…Episodes 9 and 10 were bloody affairs.
Anyway, anybody disturbed by the presence of so much death in one place is welcome to re-watch Coldplay’s Game of Thrones musical, in which Kit Harington sings a song called “Wildling” to the tune of the Troggs’ “Wild Thing,” to cleanse your palate.
