True Detective‘s second season came to an end over the weekend, having received mixed reviews across the board. But one cast member from the show’s first season wasn’t interested in watching the exploits of his fellow damaged goods as they searched for truth and whodunit while smoldering angrily and reciting bits of heavy, ponderous dialogue.
No, Woody Harrelson, who True Detective fans will remember as Detective Martin Hart, instead sat down with his buddy Rust Cole (played by the esteemed Matthew McConaughey) for a few hours, and was forced to get caught up on the last season of Game of Thrones. Entertainment Weekly has the results. They’re…not pretty.
Now, to be fair, Hart has seen some serious stuff in his time, especially during the first season of True Detective. But nothing on HBO, or the Louisiana State Police’s Criminal Investigations Division, could have prepared him for Westeros.
Speaking of which, I have this great idea for for True Detective Season 3…..
