Final Touches in Girona, Modexpor Announces Extra Callback Dates

Principle photography starts rolling in Girona for the on-location scenes for Game of Thrones Season 6 this coming Thursday. The actors should start arriving any day now. The sets are nearly ready as you can see from the local tweets.

Diari de Girona once again has an update. With the sets nearly finished, most of their pictures involve tourists milling about outside while security keeps them at bay. But there are a few shots worth noting:

Meanwhile, in extra news, Modexpor Internacional posted to its Facebook page the dates that extras who were cast in those July cattle calls can expect to hear from the production, regarding coming in for fittings and such.

"GAME OF THRONES CALLSGirona:We will continue calling the selected extras until the 6th of September.Bardenas:We’ll start calling the extras selected from 4 September to 19 September.Peñiscola:We’ll start calling the extras selected from 16 September to 30 September.Almeria:We’ll start calling the extras selected from 19 September to 17 October."

They do ask those who are anxious not to flood their switchboard with calls, as that will just delay the process, and they cannot talk to every person individually.
