Yet Another Dead Character Returning, this time in Almería (UPDATE: Or not)

I was just bemoaning in the last post how impossible it was to make out who was who in the production pictures from Almería. Now, thanks to The Daily Mail, we’ve got so close up shots…and no, there’s no Jorah. They’re no Daario. But you won’t believe who can back from the dead this time.

Ok then. Grab your tinfoil hat and let’s go!

Yes. Apparently those pics of Emilia Clarke partying with Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) in Paris the other week were no accident. They’re hanging out…because Momoa is back to film Game of Thrones Season 6. Are you even KIDDING me with this? (Yeah, I know he’s smoking a cigarette. That’s what Dothraki do when they’re on break.)

So Dany’s sun and stars had returned. Is it like Jon Snow, where the hair somehow convinced the women around him to bring him back to life? Is it more like Shae, who, as the theory goes, is back because she’ll be popping up in a Tyrion fever dream? Is this like The Mountain, or the Hound, as they are vaguely hulking undead? (I’ll admit, Momoa doesn’t look very Undead in these photos. Just saying.)

So what is it? Does he have a soap-opera style twin who Dany will fall back in love with? (Perhaps that’s what will finally kill Jorah?) Is Dany fever-dreaming from traveling through the desert (after all, Drogo came back in a vision she had once before)? Is she mistaking someone who looks kind of like Drogo for Drogo? Or are we having flashbacks in the desert now, too?

Either way, boy she looks happy. I suppose Martin’s growing inability to keep characters dead in the books is finally paying off for someone on the show.

UPDATE: Upon closer inspection, that does NOT appear to be Jason Mamoa in those pics. We apologize for jumping the gun on this one. We dreamed an impossible dream, and now we’ve woken up and that dream seems kind of silly.
