Finnish weatherman delivers Game of Thrones-themed forecast, plus more funnies

The influence of Game of Thrones is felt in the oddest places. For example, it recently turned up in a weather report on a Finnish news show, which…sure, why not? Watch the video below, as the Finnish meteorologist borrows the Stark family’s favorite phrase to get his point across.

Honestly, I’m not sure what the meteorologist said before he donned his Northman getup, the epic music swelled, and snow filled the screen. I imagine it was about a cold front. It doesn’t really matter, though. The point is that someone at this TV station—or quite a few people, more likely, including a couple of folks on the graphics team—are really into Game of Thrones. Good on them. Extras points for the gruff voice change.

Elsewhere, an enterprising fan modeled much of the known Song of Ice and Fire world in LEGO form and displayed the results at an Italian LEGO convention. The creation, which spans from Westeros to Essos, is impressive…

…but honestly, I think I’ll mostly remember the LEGO stand-in for Tyrion, who’s urinating over the top of the Wall.

That’s a creative use of the little yellow pieces. I’m trapped between being impressed and being disgusted.
