Celeb Xmas Roundup: Oberyn Sings Star Wars, Dany Burns Pies & More
By Ani Bundel
The holiday break continues for all the actors in Game of Thrones, those still alive and those who have passed on. Some seem to be having a lovely holiday. Perdro Pascal, for instance, who played the late, great Oberyn Martell made like every single other person in the Western world this holiday season and went and saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
I’m just sorry he didn’t sing the lyrics–either the original ones, or the updated version.
Apparently those who are dead were luckier over the holiday than those who are still alive on the show. Emilia Clarke posted herself not having nearly as good a time.
Next time, don’t let Drogon do the baking.
In more news of those who have passed on, Esme Bianco, who game of thrones fans might recognize as Ros the plucky prostitute who can to a sad end, has moved on from being remembered for being crossbowed at point blank range to being hung. Her latest turn is as the muse for artist Christian Furr’s latest collection. On display at Campbell’s Art Gallery in South Kensington.
The above invite to the show features Esme in the painting “Flesh and Blood.” No relation to the Season 1 episode “Fire and Blood.”
Natalie Dormer is winding down her promotional tour for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, but her every remark is still making headlines. This time it’s for her promise to Jennifer Lawrence to bring her across the Narrow Sea and go on a “Great Irish Road Trip.” Much to the delight of the Irish paper, she has told Lawrence they’ll “go all in.” Lawrence figures between The Tutors and Game of Thrones, Dormer knows all the off the beaten track places.
And if she is missing a few, they can always ask Kristian Nairn, who recently named all his favorite Belfast hangouts for DJing. He’s a Belfast native, but he understands the allure to tourists. “You’re literally in Westeros. Tourists are always amazed by it.”
