First footage of Jaime Lannister in Game of Thrones Season 6

We still don’t have a full trailer for Game of Thrones Season 6 yet, but HBO has been giving us a steady stream of clips and images, plus one teaser featuring a conversation between Bran and the Three-Eyed Raven. It’s been a slow, tricking tease, and today it continues.

HBO Now tweeted a new promotional video a couple of days ago. It features, among other things, looks at the new season of Game of Thrones, starting around 0:10. There’s the brief clip of Daenerys in the Great Grass Sea we saw back in early December, a clip of Bran’s eyes going all white from Season 4, and some new footage of Jaime decked out in golden armor on a horse.

And here’s just the Jaime footage, courtesy of Jon Snow—the Twitter account, not the person.

BEGIN SPOILERS

We can use our vast spoiler knowledge to suss out what scene this footage is from. As far as we can tell, this footage is from Episode 6, where Jaime mounts up and leads a Tyrell army to the Sept of Baelor. The horse and the armor match what Nikolaj Coster-Waldau was wearing and riding that day.

Jaime heads to the Sept of Baelor either to force the High Sparrow to release Margaery, or to pick her up while sending a message that the Crown means business. Either way, she’s released without a fuss.

Next stop: a full Season 6 trailer. Based on when the trailer has come out in the past, we can expect one soon.
