Lena Headey appears on ‘Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me!’ on NPR

Since 1998, National Public Radio (NPR) has been producing laid back radio game show Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me! In one of their ongoing segments, ‘Not My Job,’ host Peter Sagal brings on a celebrity guest and asks him or her about something that has nothing to do with their line of work. In the most recent episode, Sagal had Game of Thrones actress Lena headey on, and asked her about various kinds of games—board, iPhone, and otherwise (get it, because Game of Thrones is a game and…you get it). Listen up:

To win the game, Headey had to answer two questions correctly, but she only managed one. Ah, well. At least we heard about some truly bizarre board games.

Headey is currently appearing in Pride + Prejudice + Zombies, and while Sagel mentions the film toward the end of recording, he spends a lot more time on Game of Thrones. Here are some little tidbits:

  • Lena Headey is one of the cast members who has not read George R.R. Martin’s novels, but her mother has, and occasionally teases her daughter about how much more she knows than her.
  • Yes, Headey did the Walk of Shame scene herself, but no, it was not her body. Also, Headey had coffee with that one random guy who jumps out at her during Cersei’s Walk and flashes her.
  • The Game of Thrones cast parties apparently involve a lot of “olympic drinking.” Unfortunately, we don’t get to hear who wins the gold.
  • If Headey were to tell Sagel a spoiler about Season 6, she’s less concerned with what could happen to her and more with what would happen to Sagel. I’m just going to assume this means HBO employs hit squads.

As usual, Headey was perfectly charming. Feel free to catch her in Pride + Prejudice + Zombies, in theaters now, or wait to see her on Game of Something or Other in April.

And yes, “Killer Queen” is a pretty good theme song for Cersei.
