Natalie Dormer: “Jon Snow is dead…Right Now.”

Is Jon Snow alive or dead? That’s the question on many people’s minds, and another Game of Thrones actor has come down on the side of “dead”…for the moment.

Speaking to Channel 5, the “fifth” channel on the UK dial, Dormer was ostensibly promoting her rather large flop of a movie The Forest. But neither the interviewer nor Dormer were all that interested in talking about the movie as they were talking about the upcoming sixth season of Game of Thrones. When asked about the Jon Snow theories, Dormer, who might have been tired, or perhaps decided it wasn’t worth hiding anymore, responded thusly:

“Jon Snow is dead… right now. If you get stabbed that many times, you’re dead. There are some basic medical rules that even apply in Westeros so Jon Snow is dead… right now.”

WELP. Welp, welp, welpity welp. I mean, she might as well have said, “NUDGE NUDGE WINK WINK SAYNOMORE SAYNOMORE” out loud at the end of that.

I think that just about clears up all the confusion we’ve been having on Schrödinger’s Crow, Jon Snow. In case you didn’t get the implication here: Jon Snow is indeed dead, but he’s coming back. Thanks, Natalie!

Having given fans something to discuss, Dormer went on to praise them and the insane theories that have been cropping up ever since we ran out of books to read.

I’m as fascinated as the fans about the ultimate destination we’re going to end up on. I love all the theories that people have. I don’t trawl the internet reading them, because I don’t really have time, but one of my favourite things to do is to go to comic-cons, where you meet fans directly and you interact with them and they give you their theory.

Don’t worry Natalie, we didn’t think you were obsessively reading reddit. But it’s good to know we entertain you at comic-con.
