"“I looked for you on the Trident,” Ned said to them.“We were not there,” Ser Gerold answered.“Woe to the Usurper if we had been,” said Ser Oswell.“When King’s Landing fell, Ser Jaime slew your king with a golden sword, and I wondered where you were.”“Far away,” Ser Gerold said, “or Aerys would yet sit the Iron Throne, and our false brother would burn in seven hells.”“I came down on Storm’s End to lift the siege,” Ned told them, and the Lords Tyrell and Redwyne dipped their banners, and all their knights bent the knee to pledge us fealty. I was certain you would be among them.”“Our knees do not bend easily,” said Ser Arthur Dayne.“Ser Willem Darry is fled to Dragonstone, with your queen and Prince Viserys. I thought you might have sailed with him.”“Ser Willem is a good man and true,” said Ser Oswell.“But not of the Kingsguard,” Ser Gerold pointed out. “The Kingsguard does not flee.”“Then or now,” said Ser Arthur. He donned his helm.“We swore a vow,” explained old Ser Gerold. Ned’s wraiths moved up beside him, with shadow swords in hand. They were seven against three."

"“And now it begins,” said Ser Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning. He unsheathed Dawn and held it with both hands. The blade was pale as milkglass, alive with light. “No,” Ned said with sadness in his voice. “Now it ends.”"

Arya gets to practice her parkour.

And be blind.

Question, just what in the heck are these creepy chicks doing? WiC commenter Phil Necro posits these may be Varys’ little birds putting an end to a certain Uncle K…I agree.

We’ve got archers at what appears to be the siege at Riverrun, although it could also be the Battle of the Bastards.

We’ve got a heavy horse charge in what might be the Battle of the Bastards. Some say the man in the back of the scene heavily resembles Jon Snow. You decide.

We’ve got Bolton shields locking in formation against what appears to be wildlings and another Northern army.

Tormand looks like he’s ready to club someone to death with his member HAR! (That’s definitely a Bolton shield in the background, which probably puts him in the Battle of the Bastards).

Oh, look…more wildlings going crazy in a fight. This will be fun!

Brienne is still slicing necks…I guess she has to take out some aggression for her crap showing in The Force Awakens. “I’ll show you FN-2187! Throw me down a trash chute, will you?” In all seriousness, is she saving Sansa and Theon, here? The soldier does have the same helm as the one in the Theon’s GIF.

Littlefinger is literally everywhere. Is he peeping on Brienne?

Hey, does this look like Osha (Rickon’s wildling guardian) to anyone? And why is she running?

Someone’s getting lit tonight. Makes me wonder who it is. Also, does the body seem to explode on contact? It could be a wight.

And there’s this shot, of someone putting their hand near an open flame, apparently unworried about getting burned. Is it Melisandre or Dany? The ring on the finger seems to be the ring Dany left in the grass at the end of Season 5…hmmmm the plot thickens.

And here we have Bran doing Greenseer things, and he looks shocked, like he didn’t mean to walk into the middle of a meeting of White Walkers. It’s like they were brainstorming the next attack on Westeros, and Bran just popped in by accident.

Melisandre seems very upset and unsure of herself. Has she found a new ally in a former enemy?

Speaking of Melisandre, why is she disrobing here? Is this part of an attempt to bring Jon back from the dead? Do the hands on Jon’s body belong to Davos? The next GIF could provide clues about the riddle of Jon’s possible resurrection. As many WiC commenters correctly point out, those hands can’t belong to Davos, as Stannis chopped his fingers down to the knuckles, so, they must belong to someone else…but who? Edd? Thoros? Some random person brought in to do Melisandre’s bidding?

And finally, we have Davos grabbing Longclaw and getting ready to wreck some guys near the body of Jon Snow while Ghost lies beside his slain master. Why do the Black Brothers want Davos dead? Is Jon, perhaps, semi-alive thanks to Melisandre and Davos is standing watch? Whatever’s happening, it’s definitely badass.

That’s it for the first Game of Thrones Season 6 trailer GIF breakdown. HBO did it right and gave us some amazing moments without giving away too much. Hopefully, now that the first trailer is out, the interviews and teasers will begin to flood in on a regular basis, so stay tuned as we bring you all the news as it occurs.
