With the new season getting closer and closer, the fans are getting more and more creative in their outlets to relieve their obsession with the show. First we had a man who made an entire direwolf on a side of a mountain. Now we’ve got a tapestry in North London.
According to NME, this gorgeous tapestry depicting the events of Hardhome is the collaboration work of 50 textile artists from all over the UK.
It’s now in the Crossing Gallery in trendy art school Central St. Martin’s, and was produced by the Embroiderer’s Guild, the Royal School of Needlework, Fine Cell Work (a social enterprise that trains prisoners in needlework) and Hand & Lock Embroidery design room to tie in with the release of the show’s fifth series. Insanely, it took 30,000 hours to make and, weirdly, is only on display until midnight tomorrow (19 March).
Only on until tomorrow! Let’s hope it gets picked up for display elsewhere, it would be a crime to be seen by so few.
Meanwhile, things on the Internet last forever. And that’s a wonderful thing when it comes to an Imgur user CarlosDanger101. He’s been working on a parody version of Dr. Seuss’ Oh, The Places You’ll Go! But his version is by “Dr. Martin” and is entitled Oh! The Places It’ll Snow! Check out the entire thing below.
"Oh The Place’s It’ll Snow – GoT/Dr. Seuss Crossover"
The story focuses on a young man named Jon Snow and his trip to the Wall. In his notes on the site he says it was “A fun project that I’ve been working on for a few months now – I rewrote the Dr. Seuss poem “Oh The Places You’ll Go” with a Game of Thrones twist, and then illustrated it as a book! Took a long time but I like how it came out – I hope you all enjoy!”
I certainly did sir, and I hope all our readers laugh as long and hard as I did.
