See (most of) what Sansa wrote in that mysterious letter

In “The Broken Man,” the quest to rally the North against Ramsay Bolton hit a snag. Jon, Sansa, and Davos managed to get a few Northern houses to join their cause, but others, weary of war and hesitant to fight alongside wildlings, were less willing. Jon wanted to march on Winterfell with the men they had, but Sansa didn’t think it was enough. Following an argument with her half-brother, she wrote a mysterious letter to an unnamed party.

Now, thanks to Reddit user CreepyPancakes, it’s not so mysterious anymore. In fact, it may not have been all that mysterious to begin with. Littlefinger offered Sansa the use of the Knights of the Vale back in “The Door,” and although she rejected him at the time, a lot of fans assumed that, faced with the prospect of going up against Ramsay with inferior numbers, she was writing to him to take him up on his offer. CreepyPancakes broke down the letter and confirmed that this is indeed the case.

"[GoT S06E07] What did Sansa write in that letter?"

Here’s the text of the letter, so far as CreepyPancakes can make it out. The italicized portions are the words the Redditor filled in from context.

"You promised to protect me. Now you have a chance to fulfill your promise. The Knights of the Vale are under your command. Ride north for Winterfell. Lend us your aid and I shall see to it that you are rewarded."

Littlefinger isn’t actually named in the letter, but it doesn’t sound like it could be intended for anyone but him. Asking for Littlefinger’s help is precarious in the best of circumstances, but Sansa was backed into a corner. Is this a good decision? Will it come back to bite her? How will Jon react when he finds out that Sansa did this without his knowledge? We’ll surely find out before long.
