Young actresses being cast for Game of Thrones Season 7
By Dan Selcke
This year, filming on Game of Thrones Season 7 won’t start until later than usual. The producers are pushing it back so they can filming during cloudier, bleaker, snowier weather—after all, winter has come, as Sansa told Jon in the Season 6 finale. To that end, there’s not as much news about casting and filming as there usually is around this time, but there are still things to be heard.
A month ago, we reported that the production was trying to cast two new roles: a 16-year-old Northern girl and a 10-year-old Northern boy. They will appear in “a high-stakes scene with leading cast members.” If this Twitter post from the Yafta Talent Agency is any indication, casting for the female role is underway.

According to its website, Yafta specializes in, among other things, representing children, most of whom are “Northern based.” That’s some nice synergy.
Per Game of Thrones casting hawks Watchers on the Wall, the roles for young people specified above haven’t been cast yet, nor have particulars about the roles been leaked. Watchers also has it that “several” young performers are going to be cast, not just two, but details remain scarce. We’ll bring you more as it comes in.
