Doctor Who: Weeping Angels to Appear on Class?
By David Hill
Even though filming has continued for the new Doctor Who spinoff, Class, we still have not learned much about the upcoming season. We may, however, have been given a bit of a hint with a new picture.
One has to imagine that, while filming anything involving Doctor Who, one would be tempted to wander about the prop department and see what is there. After all, with the various creatures and effects that appear on the show, one could probably get lost for hours just looking through the history that is held within those walls.
Perhaps Class star Fady Elsayed, who will be one of the main actors in the new spinoff, did just that. Recently, he took a picture of himself hanging out with a Weeping Angel. Fortunately, he did not blink during the selfie; otherwise, Elsayed may have found himself back in the Old West, or hanging out with Caesar explaining the witchcraft of the “mobile phone.”

- Watch a stunning VFX breakdown of The Wheel of Time season 2
- Of course Steve Toussaint (Corlys Velaryon) thinks Eve Best (Rhaenys Targaryen) should rule Westeros
- Confirmed: The Last of Us season 2 will air in 2025
- Final season of Star Trek: Discovery will have “a lot of action, a lot of adventure, a lot of fun”
In any case, this picture raises some questions. Could it be that, instead of simply meandering through the prop department, Elsayed was providing a spoiler? With the series taking place at Coal Hill School, one of the more important locations in Doctor Who, it would make sense that the Weeping Angels would lock on to that area. Besides, using younger people as fuel may give the Angels even more power.
Of course, given that Doctor Who and Class are both filming in Cardiff, it could just be a fun coincidence. It is likely that both shows are filming near one another, making it easier to navigate between sets. If so, then we may well see the Weeping Angels returning in Series Ten if they are not a part of Class.
