Live GoT concert to reveal details about “an extension to the Game of Thrones universe”
By Dan Selcke
For anybody in the Los Angeles area, this news is for you. There will be a live orchestral performance of Game of Thrones music this Monday! Here’re the details:
- Where: Hollywood Palladium, Sunset Blvd., Angeles, CA 90028
- When: Monday, August 8—the event begins at 11:30 a.m.
On top of the concert itself, Game of Thrones composer Ramin Djawadi will be on hand for a Q&A. Also, Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark) will be there, although I’m not sure what, if anything, he’ll do.
You may not know Djawadi by sight, but I guarantee you know his work, which includes the iconic Game of Thrones theme song and this past season’s haunting “Light of the Seven,” aka the tune that played over the montage right before the Sept of Baelor blew up.

But there’s more! The event will also feature “a selection of fan-favorite pieces from the popular Hall of Faces interactive exhibit,” including the Iron Throne, the “Melisandre’s Flame holographic experience,” Arya Stark’s sword Needle, and costumes from Season 6. This is a full-service kind of shindig.
Perhaps most intriguingly, the press release mentions that the event will include “the reveal of exciting new details surrounding an extension to the Game of Thrones® universe.” Game of Thrones theme park? Game of Thrones museum? Game of Thrones flatware? Something else? All will be revealed soon.
