Game of Thrones characters reimagined as Pixar cartoons, gang members

When Game of Thrones goes into these long hiatuses, fans do what they can to handle the withdrawal. First, there’s usually binge-watching of the season that just was. After that, there’s binge-watching of all the seasons from beginning to end.

So what to do when those tactics run out? Start reimagining what Game of Thrones would look like…if it was drawn by Pixar!

Artist Arex Cho, a Visual Artist for Sony Pictures Animation, has done just that with a stunning set of images inspired by Season 6. There’s a few posted on his Instagram, but you really should check out the Tumblr for the full effect.

According to the labels, the pictures are “Pixar-ish,” although they do look very much like Pixar illustrations.

But my personal favorites? Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen.

Meanwhile, if Disney-fying characters isn’t your thing, there’s always finding the modern-day equivalent of the loyalty Westerosi citizens show their houses. In other words, here’s what Game of Thrones characters would look like if they were in gangs.

Artist Hilary Heffron, founder of Hilarious Delusions, created these as part of her Game of Thrones collection.

I love the fact that Jon has both Robb and Ygritte on his bicep. (Even better, the tats are based on Heffron’s own “straight version” drawings of those characters, which are also for sale.)
