When it comes to Game of Thrones merchandise, it’s hard to beat ThreeZero. There are plenty of figurines based on the show out there, but Threezero has distinguished itself by its high level of detail. For example, the company’s Jaime Lannister figurine is 12.4 inches tall; comes with a sword, dirk, belt with scabbards, tailored clothing, and removable armor; and bears a remarkable resemblance to actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. Behold:
According to Watchers on the Wall, Threezero will soon debut a new figurine modeled on the Hound. Seeing as the character is hot off his Season 6 return, the timing is good. The Hound figurine is 13 inches tall (taller than Jaime, naturally) and comes complete with a bunch of extras, including a greatsword, sword, dagger, and katar. He also comes with a belt with scabbards for those weapons, tailored fabric clothing, and an extra pair of hands. The figurine is fully articulated, so you can move his limbs around to your heart’s content.
You can preorder the Hound figurine starting this Thursday, August 18, at 9:00 a.m. Hong Kong time. (Or this Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. CST.) It retails for $195.00 and will eventually be available through the HBO Shop and at other select retailers. However, there will be a version of the figurine that comes with the Hound’s personalized helmet available exclusively through Threezero’s website. That one will retail at $210.00.
Beyond the Hound and Jaime, Threezero has also made figurines of Ned Stark, Tyrion Lannister, and Jon Snow. They all sport the same level of detail the company is famous for. Check ’em out:
Threezero doesn’t make a ton of figurines, but the ones it does make are of a very high quality. Who should be next on its list? Warriors are obvious candidates for action figure status, so maybe it’s Brienne or Bronn’s turn. Or maybe they can go the other way and make a figurine of someone who isn’t in the fray as much, like Bran, Daenerys, or Cersei.
