Celeb roundup: Sophie Turner gets tattooed, the Mountain performs feats of strength, and more

The Game of Thrones production team might be preparing to film Season 7, but that hasn’t stopped the various actors and actresses on the show from doing their own thing. For instance, Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), has been cast in Huntsville, where she’ll play a troubled teen. For the role, Turner has had to go through a bit of a transformation. She dyed her hair blonde and donned some fake tattoos.

And here she is at an event with Variety:

You’ll note that Turner now has a giant wolf face on left arm. Let the speculation begin on if that’s some sort of Game of Thrones Easter Egg…or not.

At that same Variety event, Turner was asked what she would do if she had the powers of Jean Grey, her character from X-Men: Apocalypse. Cue the tape.

"Oh my god. I think the world needs fixing. My power is telepathy and telekinesis. I guess Phoenix really has no end to her powers. So, Donald Trump would be out of the country. And we’d create a wall around him so he couldn’t escape. I mean, there are so many negative things that are happening. I would kind of restart the whole world and build a new one, Noah’s Ark-style."

Sophie Turner wasn’t the only Game of Thrones cast member making headlines. Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), and Lena Heady (Cersei Lannister) all shared their stories from the trip they took to the International Refugee Camps in Greece.

Here’s a fun video that Eugene Simon (Lancel Lannister) recently posted on his Twitter account. Please watch Brother Lancel, the High Sparrow, Septa Unella, and King Tommen play a game of Heads Up while on the set of Game of Thrones (filming that big Sept scene from “Blood of My Blood,” by the looks of it).

Yes, this happened. Eugene Simon, Dean-Charles Chapman, Hannah Waddingham, and Jonathan Pryce all seem like fun people to hang out with. Too bad we won’t see any of them in Season 7.

Finally, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (Gregor “the Mountain” Clegane) is back to impressing the world with feats of strength. And also he posted a video on his Intagram showing himself and a friend doing cannonballs into a pool. In slow motion.

Bad form from Björnsson there. He released a bit too early. Everyone knows that you’ve got to keep tucked and tight to get an optimal splash.

The actor also posted a video of him breaking yet another strength record. Just another day in the life for this guy.

According to Time, Björnsson broke his own world record in keg tossing here, at the 2016 World’s Strongest Man competition in Botswana. He cleared a 23.5 ft. high bar with a 33 lb. keg. Björnsson set the previous record at the Arnold Classic Strongman competition in Ohio back in March.
