The War Doctor may not have been long for Doctor Who, but he certainly made an impact upon the show. Now, he will be getting his own collectable figurine, and it is truly impressive.
We all had our thoughts as to what happened during the Great Time War, only to have them turned on their head during the 50th Anniversary Special on Doctor Who. There, we learned of another incarnation of the Doctor, one who was shunned by his future incarnations. Over time, we learned that, instead of being a pariah and destroying the rest of the Time Lords, the War Doctor was truly a hero and saved the universe from destruction.
And now, the War Doctor will have another way to enter our hearts, this time as a collectable figurine. At 1:6 scale, this figurine not only is the perfect representation of John Hurt as the War Doctor, but also comes with quite a few accessories. Not only does he have different hands (yes, hands) for the various items, but the figurine comes with a laser rifle, his sonic screwdriver, and The Moment.

Although this one is numbered to 1000, and will cost approximately $250.00, that is not the most impressive of the item that is offered. There is also a limited edition figurine, numbered to 300, that comes with an autograph from Hurt. That one will run close to $300 to own, but there is always a convenient payment plan available for those Whovians on a budget that want to own one of these limited edition figures.

It will certainly be interesting to see how quickly these items sell. Collectable or not, that is quite the hefty price tag. Of course, for the diehard Whovian who has virtually everything, these figurines will be a must have. Just get the credit card ready.
