Pics: Game of Thrones Season 7 cast members spotted in Belfast
By Ani Bundel
It’s been a long summer with no Game of Thrones news for Season 7 to speak of, as we all wait the coming of Winter. But last week, we had confirmation that the major characters had received and read through their scripts. And now it looks like many of them are heading back to Belfast, long the filming hub for the show.
The Belfast Telegraph posted proof this morning, via a fan’s Instagram post. The fan posted himself on the streets of Belfast, as part of a Stark family reunion photo.
Yes, that’s Sophie Turner, aka Sansa Stark, on his right, her blonde hair still intact. And that’s Maisie Williams, aka Arya Stark, with all of her not-so-natural blue washed out of her hair on his left.
Sadly, neither the photo nor the Telegraph tell us if they were gossiping about the scripts and what they read and if they survive this season. Williams had a minor meltdown on social media after reading all of the scripts earlier this week, and warned us all that it was completely impossible to prepare us for whatever holy mackerel level twist is coming. Sophie has been more circumspect about revealing her opinions on the coming season. After last year’s slip-up, when she revealed that Sansa survived Season 6 ahead of time, I’ll bet she doesn’t want to make any more of those sorts of mistakes.
Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran) is also in Belfast, if his Twitter is any indication.
There’s no picture of him as yet, but he did post an image of Dean Charles Chapman, aka the very dead King Tommen Baratheon, along with some laudatory text. Maybe he’s practicing seeing dead people for Bran’s greenseeing abilities in Season 7.
Beyond the Starks, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) is also in the area. He stopped to take a photo with a fan.
Traveling to Belfast the other day: Brienne of Tarth, ready for business.
And what of Daenerys Targaryen? According to Emilia Clarke’s Instagram, she’s still on a boat.
We’ll have to assume the dragons are up above them somewhere helping navigate. It’s all happening.
