The BBC recently launched four official social media accounts for the upcoming Doctor Who spin-off Class, as well as released a new promotional image.
Since the upcoming Doctor Who spin-off Class wrapped filming, there has been a steady stream of promotional material being released online. Along with this launch comes a new promotional image of who appears to be the character Miss Quill played by Katherine Kelly. She is standing in a classroom in front of a chalk board, holding the gun that was seen in the first promotional image, which was released at the beginning of the month to mark the wrap of filming. Miss Quill’s outfit is super chic with a punk rock flair — an appropriate mirroring of the Twelfth Doctor’s sense of style. The frame of the chalkboard is pretty snazzy, too. Any math geeks know what the equations mean? Are they random, or could they provide clues as to what we can expect on the program?
In any case, the more that we learn about Class, the more it is revealing the promise of a strong production, as well as signs of having a style all its own. Despite having various aspects compared by fans and the media to Doctor Who, Torchwood, and The Sarah Jane Adventures, it does not seem that Class will be existing in any of their shadows.
Today’s announcement comes on the heels of the release of the program’s new logo.
