During Sunday night’s Emmy Awards, the cast of Game of Thrones was out in full force, supporting the show and their fellow nominated cast members. On the red carpet, actresses Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) and Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) had some exciting things to say about Game of Thrones Season 7.

First up, Emilia Clarke spoke to TV Line and dropped a big hint regarding a battle is Season 7:

"If anyone came onto any day on Game of Thrones, it would be a spoiler. Like every single word is a spoiler almost, it’s ridiculous."

Well, that certainly sounds exciting. Clarke compared the scripts for Season 7 favorably to Season 6, saying “they topped it, they topped it and again.” She also confirmed that she received her scripts in advance, has read the entire thing, and knows exactly what’s going to happen. Color me jealous.

TV Line’s Michael Ausiello also asked Clarke if there’s any battle scene in Season 7 that compares to Season 6’s Battle of the Bastards. Obviously, she couldn’t give anything too big away, but still said enough to stoke our interest. “There’s, like, another battle that’s epic.”

It’s hard to imagine another battle that will top Season 5’s “Hardhome,” or Season 6’s “Battle of the Bastards,” especially since the director of both of those episodes, Miguel Sapochnik, isn’t part of the Season 7 lineup. Still, we can hope.

But unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like there’s much hope of Season 7 premiering before the summer of 2017, later than usual. “Having read this season, I’m like, ‘It’s gonna take us a while,'” she said. As long as it’s great, take all the time you need.

Clarke was spoke about Season 7 to the Los Angeles Times, saying that fans can “expect less people.” Clearly, Emilia Clarke hasn’t been to the Stannis School of Grammar, or she would have used the correct quantifier, “fewer.”

Moving on, TV Line also interviewed Sophie Turner. Apparently, she fell out of her chair when she read the Season 7 scripts:

"Sophie Turner on Season 7: “Holy balls…HOLY BALLS!”"

This contents me. As you can see, Turner has trouble coming up with a description that isn’t a spoiler, but her enthusiasm sure is catching. “It’s the best season yet…It’s gonna be better than last season.” Fighting words.

Also, she revealed that she cried while reading the script. I wonder what inspired that—let the speculation begin!

Again, the Los Angeles Times caught up with Turner. She explained the significance behind her and Maisie Williams’ matching tattoos: they denote the date that HBO hired the pair of them for their roles on Game of Thrones: 07.08.09.

You can make out the tattoo on Williams’ left arm below:

When asked about Season 7, Turner had this to say:

"I was actually speechless, this season is unbelievable. I think fans are going to be really satisfied. It’s crazy."

This feels a little different than the pre-season hype the actors the actors usually engage in. Maybe it’s because we’re nearing the final two seasons, but I find myself very excited for what’s to come next year.
