Game of Thrones had a big night at the 68th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. But don’t take my word for it. Let the cast and crew share their own stories on Instagram and Twitter.
Emilia Clarke gets rather excited in the car.
In fact, she was playful throughout the whole night.
Maisie Williams (Arya) may not have won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress last night, but she’s making due.
She also put up a photo of herself in the makeup chair before hitting the red carpet, where she sported some distinctive eyeshadow.
In fact, Williams was a fashion dynamo at the Emmys. She wore one dress to the BAFTA LA party the night before, another one to the Emmys themselves, and a third to HBO’s afterparty.

Plenty of her Game of Thrones castmates joined her at the afterparty, including Emilia Clarke, seen here posing as though her life depends on it…

…and Sophie Turner, looking placid as a couple of partygoers burst into giggles behind her.

Up top, Lannister brothers Peter Dinklage and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau hang out. That’s Erica Schmidt, Dinklage’s wife, in the middle.
George R.R. Martin was also there, and is clearly very happy to have won.

Kit Harington was also in attendance. This next photo is actually from the press room, not the afterparty, but it’s cool to see these four in the same place, no?

Also: man, is Sophie Turner tall. Or maybe Kit Harington’s short. It’s hard to be sure.
Did anyone forget about the Sand Snakes? Keisha Castle-Hughes (Obara Sand) was there representing.

And here, Conleth Hill reveals how Varys gets all of his secrets.
Notice that Conleth Hill is bald again, back in tip-top Varys form.
Why use little birds when you can just sneak up behind people?
Meanwhile, other members of the cast and crew sent congratulations from afar, including Pilou Asbæk (Euron Greyjoy)
Helen Sloan, the show’s official still photographer, brought the enthusiasm.
Writer Bryan Cogman, who went up on stage when the show won Outstanding Drama, basically live-tweeted the event.
We’re right there with you, Bryan.
Dearly departed cast members like Finn Jones (Loras Tyrell), Eugene Michael Simon (Lancel Lannister), and Dean-Charles Chapman (Tomm Baratheon) all joined in the love.
Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) also tweeted her support, and seemed to reveal that she hasn’t been on set for filming yet.
And finally, Saturday Night Live’s Leslie Jones, who made a splash when she talked about the hacking of her Twitter account on the Emmy stage, took selfies with every Game of Thrones cast member she could find.
Congratulations again to all the winners and nominees!
