The Westworld Opening Credits Are HBO’s Best Yet

HBO is known for having incredible opening credits for its series, and the Westworld opening credits might be the best yet.

Amazing credits are one of the cornerstones of an HBO show; the fantastic map based credits of Game of Thrones not only set the tone and mood of the show, but also tell you something about it. The opening credits for Westworld are of course no different.

The opening credits of Westworld may not drive home their point as quickly as the sultry bayou filled scenes and sounds of the first season of True Detective credits, but by the end of the credits you have a really good idea of what you’re getting into. That’s something that’s easier said than done when you’re talking about a futuristic western theme park of sin filled with amazingly realistic artificial intelligence.

That’s why we believe the Westworld opening credits might be the best HBO’s ever created. From the cold clean white plastic and vaguely 3D printer looking robot arms to the player piano it’s just perfect.

Does that make you feel ready for a trippy journey into a western built on futuristic A.I. technology where the line between human and machine is blurred? Yeah it does.

Will Westworld truly be “the next Game of Thrones”, that’s hard to say, but Westworld certainly does have all the ingredients to be another HBO masterpiece.
