UPDATE: Emilia Clarke posts pics and video from Game of Thrones set

facebooktwitterreddit

Emilia Clarke, who’s currently filming scenes for Game of Thrones Season 7 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, posted a short video from the set….complaining about the weather, natch!

Not that Clarke hasn’t filmed in and around Belfast before. The Northern Irish plains have stood in for parts of Essos, most notably the spot where Drogon decided to take a dragon-sized nap at the end of Season 5, before. But those were filmed usually in August and early September.

Now she’s filming in Westeros in October outdoors, and the weather has definitely turned towards the cooler side.

The caption reads: And then I fell over.
Or rather a brisk 50mph N.Irish wind caught me unawares….????

But perhaps it’s the hashtags that are the most interesting:

#gameofhowtostanduprightinagaleforcewind
#atleasttheviewmsdeitallworthiteh?
#bitoftailwinddoesnicleyonadragonridethough….

Let’s hope these gale force winds don’t play havoc with Daenerys’ dragons once they get into the air above Westeros? (Nah, they’re just an audio nuance for the Emmy-winning Sound design team to have to remove in post.)

UPDATE: She posted one more picture that’s too charming not to share:

“One is not amused.” It’s good to see that, like many queens, Daenerys speaks in the first person.

Meanwhile, our other main Instgrammers from the show are very pointedly not posting images from filming. Sophie Turner (Sansa) isn’t even on set. Instead, she’s in Paris for Fashion Week. At least, that’s what we hope—otherwise the costumes for next season are going to be very odd.

Don’t worry though, speculators. Just because Sophie isn’t filming right now doesn’t mean she’s done with the show. Last year, Emilia Clarke’s days off from filming scenes in Spain coincided with Paris Fashion Week. After she finished watching the clothes march about in circles, she was right back in the dragon saddle, as we suspect Turner will be too.

Finally, Maisie Williams is also not posting from the set, Instead, she’s posted a paean to her puppy.

It was World Animal Day earlier this week. Remember: Adopt, Don’t Shop.
