Westworld Theory: Have We Already Met Arnold?
A new Westworld Theory breaks down whether we might have already met Ford’s partner Arnold.

The usual Westworld theory falls into one of two categories, it’s either totally ridiculous or it’s possible, but we don’t have enough evidence to prove it. This Westworld theory doesn’t fit the mold however because we do have some pretty undeniable proof in this case.

There’s been a lot of debate about Ford’s mysterious partner Arnold. Some people this he’s the man in black, while others think he’s Bernard, but on this week’s episode of Westworld we got a big Arnold clue.
Here’s the picture of Arnold that Ford showed Bernard when they were in his office.
And here’s a picture of Ford’s father from this week’s episode of Westworld.
The two appear to be strikingly similar. Could it be that Arnold wasn’t just Ford’s partner, but his father? This would make Ford’s motivations in Westworld even more complicated.
We can’t be sure they are the same person, but it’s hard to argue that they don’t look the same. They even have the same outfits on. It’s pretty clear that Arnold is going to end up being Arnold Ford.
This Westworld theory would also have an interesting impact on Ford and Dolores. We know Ford doesn’t think kindly of Dolores, but he also keeps her around and doesn’t let her be decommissioned. Could it be that Ford is keeping Dolores around, in a loop where she watches her father die every night, as a punishment of sorts?
It would also explain how Arnold would have known how to create copies of Ford’s family from his childhood. Ford said he had to adjust the host playing his father and give him more of his father’s true traits. This would fit since you’d expect Arnold, or anyone really, to create an idealized version of themselves.

Of course this all could be a fake out, perhaps Ford showed Bernard the wrong picture? Maybe he did this because Bernard can’t see a real picture of Arnold. If Bernard was a host, a host that perhaps was modeled after Arnold it would mean he couldn’t see a real picture of Arnold right?
