The Westworld Theme gets a metal cover and the result rocks and yet still manages to keep the eyrie feel of the original.
We’ve looked at several fantastic Westworld theme covers, most of which are nice piano or classical guitar versions of the song. This morning however we are about to rock. This Westworld Theme cover is anything but soft.
This metal cover of the Westworld theme is the opposite of the player piano covering Soundgarden and the Cure, this time rock strikes back. Music is such a huge part of Westworld, it does more than just set the scene, it acts as another piece of the puzzle. When you heard “Blackhole Sun” on the player piano it was a reminder that although you were watching a western scene everything was manufactured. So turning the rock to piano trope on its head is a particularly fun musical move.
Get ready to rock Westworld style with YouTuber 331Erock, also known as Eric Calderone.
What I really love about this cover is that it rocks, but also manages to keep the eyrie feel of the original song. You know exactly what song it is, and it even manages to invoke the same feelings as the original. It also makes Calderone’s Westworld theme cover stand out among a plethora of covers on YouTube.
Fan covers and videos like this are fantastic, and require a lot of work to produce. So if you enjoy someone’s creative work why not support them? Check out Eric Calderone’s Patreon page where you can find mp3’s and tabs for the metal Westworld Theme. Rock on and well done Eric!
