Season 7 filming pics: Jaime and Bronn walk the walls of Trujillo Castle

Filming is underway today at Trujillo Castle in Cáceres. Both El Periódico Extremadura and Hoy have photos of important players walking the battlements during filming earlier today. Read on, but beware minor SPOILERS.

Hoy has a bunch of pics of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) and Jerome Flynn (Bronn) in costume and walking the battlements.

There plenty of Lannister soldiers clad in red in the area, too.

And of course, the Lannister flag flies high above all. The castle could be standing in for Casterly Rock, the Lannisters’ ancestral home, but it’s much more likely standing in for Highgarden, the seat of House Tyrell, after the Lannisters have claimed it for themselves. James Faulkner (Tyrell bannerman Randyll Tarly) is also in the area.

There’s also an outside possibility that these could be the Walls of King’s Landing, but given what else is being filmed in the vicinity, the Highgarden explanation is the most probable. We can all follow Jaime and Bronn’s lead and contemplate it as we stare into the distance.

…while her onscreen sister Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) was spotted in New York City.

Then there’s Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei), back in London.

Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) recorded his visit to Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal F.C.

So mostly everyone’s in London. Hopefully we’ll pick them back up when they have more scenes to film.
