Did last night’s episode of Westworld confirm the most popular Westworld theory?

SPOILER WARNING: THIS WESTWORLD THEORY POST CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM RECENT EPISODES OF WESTWORLD. IF YOU AREN’T CAUGHT UP ON WESTWORLD AVOID THIS POST! THIS POST ALSO CONTAINS CONJECTURE ABOUT THE FUTURE OF WESTWORLD, IF YOU DON’T WANT TO HEAR POSSIBLE WESTWORLD SPOILERS AVOID THIS POST!

Last night might have confirmed that what we are seeing in Westworld is two different timelines. The Dolores, William, and Logan timeline is set thirty years in the past, while the Bernard, Maeve, Ford, Teddy, and the man in black timeline is set in the show’s present day. The idea is that William is the man in black, so that’s of course why we never find out the man in black’s name.

In last night’s episode the man in black and Teddy ran across a face that was familiar.

It was the host Angela played by Tallulah Riley. Angela greeted William as he entered the park and explained how Westworld works to him. Now we find Angela in Ford’s new narrative as part of Wyatt’s group of insane followers and bait for Teddy and the man in black.

Now it could be that Angela was moved from he place as a greeter host to the new narrative, but the man in black says “I thought they retired you” when he sees her. That sounds like he hasn’t seen her in a very long time. If the man in black is William he would be remembering Angela from their first meeting on his first trip into the park.

It seems like the two timelines theory is getting more and more likely with each episode, only two more to go this season!
