The Westworld season 1 finale is going to be ninety minutes long. Who’s ready for a Westworld mini movie to end season 1?

If you’re like me the fact that Westworld’s first season is coming to a close this week is haunting your dreams. What are we going to theorize about after Westworld? I just don’t think discussing theories on the new Gilmore Girls series is going to be the same, but I am pretty sure Rory is a host. (Seriously why does Rory still look 15? She doesn’t age, she’s a host.)

Don’t worry too much though, because Westworld has one more wonderful surprise to give you. This week’s Westworld season finale won’t be the usual sixty minutes of robot mystery, this week you’ll get a full hour and a half of mechanical mayhem. That’s nintey minutes for Ford to explain his great new storyline, for Maeve to try to break out of the park, and for Dolores and the man in black to try to find the center of the maze.

There are still so many loose threads in Westworld, and of course next season needs to be set up. We are supposed to be getting at least five seasons of Westworld, and the second season has already gotten the green light.

One of the most interesting things to see in the Westworld season 1 finale will be how they set up the conflict for the second season. Will we be leaving the park or will the second season be in the park again? Will we be watching the same cast of characters or will it be an all new Westworld staff?

There’s a lot of ground to cover in the Westworld season 1 finale so it’s really fantastic that they are giving it a full hour and a half.
