New Blade Runner 2049 Trailer

The trailer for Blade Runner 2049 looks like it may fill the hole in our robotic heart until Westworld season 2.

Are you already missing futuristic android mysteries and adventure? It’s going to be a long wait for Westworld season 2, but at least have a brand new Blade Runner movie on the way to tide us over.

In 1982 a science fiction classic hit theaters with the release of the original Blade Runner. Blade Runner tells the story of Rick Decker an ex-police officer whose job it is to track down replicants. The replicants are of course very similar to the hosts in Westworld. They are biologically engineered beings that are meant to serve mankind.

The new Blade Runner movie will pick up after the dramatic end of the original Blade Runner, which you should certianly watch before the new movie comes out if you haven’t seen it. In fact you may want to watch it before you see this trailer, it will certianly make more sense if you do.

Who is a replicant and who isn’t? This is going to be the perfect film to dive into while we wait on more Westworld. It’s not quite the same as Westworld, but when you need some android intrigue you take what you can get.

The bad news is that the new Blade Runner movie doesn’t launch until… October 2017. Yeah, so we are going to have to wait almost as long on this as we are the more Westworld episodes. And if Harrison Ford’s return appearances in other franchises he’s famous for and are being revived are anything to judge by this will be fantastic. It’s true, all of it.
