The Emmys and Golden Globes are over, but Game of Thrones still has a busy awards season ahead of it, with nominations from the Directors Guild, the Visual Effects Society, the Art Directors Guild and more. The newest nomination comes from the Costume Designers Guild, which will hold an award ceremony on February 21 at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. Mandy Moore will host.

Game of Thrones Season 6 is nominated in the Excellence in a Fantasy TV Series category. Here’s what the field looks like:

  • Game of Thrones–Michele Clapton, April Ferry
  • The Man in the High Castle–J.R. Hawbaker
  • Once Upon a Time–Eduardo Castro
  • Sleepy Hollow–Mairi Chisholm
  • The Walking Dead–Eulyn C. Womble

As you can see, Game of Thrones is the only nominee for which there are two costume designers. April Ferry designed the costumes for the first eight episodes of the Season 6, and was a newbie to the series. Michelle Clapton was been with the show since the beginning, but took the first eight episodes of Season 6 off. She came back to design for “Battle of the Bastards” and “The Winds of Winter,” though. Cersei’s dark queen outfit will be acknowledged.

Game of Thrones has been nominated in this category five times before, once for each year it’s been in the air. It lost for Seasons 1-3, but won for Seasons 4 and 5. We’ll see if the streak continues on February 21.
