10 celebrity cameos we want to see on Game of Thrones

2. Barack Obama

The soon-to-be-former President of the United States is a self-confessed fan of Game of Thrones, and even used his position as leader of the free world to convince showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss to allow him to view episodes of Season 6 early.  So once he’s got some free time on his hands, what might Obama do with it? We have an idea.

Before you say that getting a President on the show is too crazy, we remind you President George W. Bush appeared in Season 1. Well, a bust of his severed head did. But still: precedent.

What role would Obama play? For a quick cameo, a maester in the Citadel would seem like a natural fit. As Samwell Tarly studies up on ways to beat the White Walkers, the camera could slowly pan over the library, stopping on Obama hard at work deciphering some ancient texts regarding the sewer drains in Casterly Rock.

For a more substantial role, does Obama not look strikingly like Jacob Anderson, who plays Grey Worm?

Perhaps President Obama could play Grey Worm’s father? It’d be nice for the beleaguered Unsullied soldier to have a cheery father/son reunion before the end.
