Emilia Clarke finishing filming on Game of Thrones Season 7
By Dan Selcke
Filming on Game of Thrones Season 7 is still going on. We’ve seen plenty of actors out and about in Belfast, the show’s production center, over the last couple of weeks. Word is shooting will continue through February. But filming season is swiftly coming to an end for one major cast member: Emilia Clarke, wearing her Daenerys wig, took to Instagram to announce that she has just one day left on set.
And also she lip-synchs to R. Kelly. Obviously.
Generally speaking, actors on Game of Thrones are supposed to be discreet and not talk about what’s going on behind the scenes. Clarke has always been pretty open about where she is in the process, though, and it’s not like she’s giving away spoilers. For example, when she returned to the Season 7 set after a winter break, she posted an image of herself in what looks like the same room, newly affixed with her Daenerys wig.
It’s also good to hear to positive assessment of Season 7. “I BELIEVE THIS ONES GONNA BE A MIND BLOWER.” You don’t use all caps unless you’re serious.
Incidentally, Kit Harington may have already wrapped his scenes and left Belfast, according to a couple of notices on Twitter. In any case, Game of Thrones Season 7 will premiere in the summer of this year. Perhaps now that filming is winding down, we’ll get news of a solid release date, or even a trailer.
