Nathalie Emmanuel scores a new ad campaign, Emilia Clarke has Star Wars hair, and more

When not in Westeros, the cast members of Game of Thrones are generally busy all over the place. Let’s run through some of their other projects as we wait for news on season 7.

First up, Nathalie Emmnauel, aka Missandei, has landed a campaign for Dune London, a chic shoe outlet. She’s appearing in a short film for he company, playing “The Girl.”

Looking fancy. Visit the official campaign page here.

Meanwhile, hype is building for this year’s Justice League movie, starring Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) as Aquaman. While palling around with Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) at a gaming event, Momoa spoke to Digital Trends about how his time on the show led to his new movie gig.

"Zack Snyder is a huge fan of Game of Thrones and I met him in the training stunt facility that I train at and I guess he really liked me because he later called me into his office and we talked about playing Aquaman. He had a really cool vision for what he wanted to do and how he wanted me to look. It’s kind of Zack’s baby."

I’m not sure anyone watching the first season of Game of Thrones could look at Momoa and not picture him in some kind of superhero role. We’ll see if he makes Aquaman the superhero to beat when Justice League comes out in November.

Speaking of major movie franchises, you’re all aware that Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) is going to be in an upcoming Star Wars movie about a young Han Solo, right? Well, she is. In fact, production on that movie started shortly after Clarke finished filming scenes for Game of Thrones season 7, and some fans are wondering if her new hairdo, seen below, is for that project.

Either that, or she just got a new haircut. But we’re Game of Thrones fans, so we prefer the explanation that involves a conspiracy theory.

Moving on, Variety reports that Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell) has landed a role in Picnic at Hanging Rock, based on the 1967 novel of the same name about a group of students from an Australian women’s college who mysteriously disappear along with their teacher at a Valentine’s Day picnic in 1900. Dormer will play school headmistress Hester Appleyard in Foxtel’s six-part drama.

Speaking of Dormer, her name is one of many in contention to replace Peter Capaldi as the Doctor in upcoming seasons of the BBC’s Doctor Who. Almost a year ago, before Capaldi announced he was leaving the role, YouTuber OdinNorse7 made a video showing us what a Doctor played by Natalie Dormer might look like. It seems as good a time as any to bring it up again.

Finally, here’s a random image from the Instagram account of Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, who plays Gregor “the Mountain” Clegane. There’s nothing newsworthy about it. I just enjoy how frightened the guy next to him looks. Maybe he just watched “The Mountain and the Viper.”
