Doctor Who Season 10 Finale Will Have The Original Mondasian Cyberman

The oldest villains in the Whoniverse, The Mondasian Cybermen are back in the Doctor Who season 10 finale, and it’s good to see them again.

With the tenth season just around the corner, we’re gobbling up all the info we can about what’s coming up. We actually know quite a bit, but now we know which villain the Doctor will battle in the Doctor Who season 10 finale.

The two-part finale is written by Steven Moffat, and will likely be his last regular season script. In it, we know that the Doctor “probably won’t regenerate,” because of the practicalities of the unknown casting. But thanks to this recently released publicity photo, we can safely assume the twelfth Doctor will fight the Cybermen.

The caption from the Doctor Who official Instagram also reveals that Michelle Gomez will be featured as the Master. The series is currently filming in Cardiff, and it seems like they are wrapping up the season as we speak.

These particular villains hail from the planet Mondas and haven’t been seen in the Doctor Who universe in over 50 years. We first met the Cybermen in “The Tenth Planet,” which was William Hartnell’s final episode in his tenure as Doctor. The episode aired in October 19966
